Call him SRK. Call him King Khan. Or, perhaps, there's a new moniker that fits the elegant Khan better. Mr.PeaceMaker, maybe? The idea fits perfectly, seeing how Shah Rukh recently diffused the heated tension between two of B'town's prettiest ladies in his own, unique way.
The story goes that during rehearsals for a topline awards function that took place recently, Kareena was royally ticked off at Priyanka for hogging stage time that had been actually allotted to Bebo. In fact, PC's rehearsals took so much time that Saifu's lady love had to wait around for a full four hours. Bebo, who had come to Mumbai especially for the rehearsal was super incensed because she was short on time and was supposed to return to Pune for a shoot with Sallu.
Sources also say that what might have drawn Kareena's ire could be the fact that PiggyChops is currently, albeit unofficially, linked to Bebo's ex boytoy, Shahid.
In any case, before an all out catfight could erupt, SRK who was also rehearsing backstage, stepped in and played mediator between the two pretty gals. He first spoke to Kareena and explained to her that she shouldn't think of backing out of the event since the audiences were looking forward to her. He also asked her in his own sweet way whether she could reschedule her shoot since Priyanka's elaborate performance would need all the rehearsal time she could get. Kareena, who loves SRK to bits, immediately agreed.
In the meanwhile, Shah Rukh also spoke to Priyanka and told her that she had to acknowledge how accommodating Kareena was being with her, and that she should do something sweet for the Kapoor gal. PiggyChops, who is also a King Khan fan, saw sense in his words and immediately went over to Bebo, giving her a huge, loving bear hug and ending the tensions between them.
Must say, given Shah Rukh's skills at crisis management and mediating, the incident shows SRK has truly earned the title of "King Khan'. After all, who else but a king would be such a master of diplomacy?
