The 90s stunner proved her business acumen when she bought stakes in a successful IPL team and now she's shown that she can be as giving too. Some proceeds from the sale of special Valentine Day packages at Shetty's spa will go towards a children's charity, which is incidentally also supported by Salman Khan
At a recent event to announce her spa's collaboration with the charity, Shilpa revealed how much kids mean to her. She said, "I love children. This is our way of doing something for street children. It's not just charity. It's encouragement for them." Very aptly dressed for the occasion in bright red, Shilpaalso shared her thoughts about Valentine's Day. "I believe in love. I don't wait for one particular day to celebrate love. Yes, maybe the added advantage is that I will get a present on Valentine's Day" she said.
That is perhaps why she does not wish to restrict her charitable streak to just this one time. She said, "A gesture like ours can mean so much to people who are under privileged and it shows love. We intend on continuing this. We'll pick up a cause every time on a special day."
Shilpa's generous gesture also put to rest the latest buzz on the grapevine about her spa suffering huge financial blows. She said, "It's quite amusing actually. Because if it wasn't doing well, we wouldn't have wanted to continue with the business. And we wouldn't have been able to donate to charity."
With the World Cup just around the corner, the part owner of a certain 'Royal' IPL team has a message for the Indian players. "Come and take massages at my spa, you'll feel fantastic" she said.
